Music Lessons

Do you love music? Whether you’re humming, singing or playing along to your favorite songs, we can help you take your love of music to the next level! Even if you have no experience playing an instrument or singing in front of a group, you’ll learn the skills and confidence to enjoy music even more!

By joining our online, private guitar, keyboard or voice lessons, you’ll be able to learn at your own pace, in a safe environment. Lessons run for 30 minutes each week, and the instructor will work with you to find a convenient time to meet online. To stay in the program, just show up for class each week and do your homework. Sessions will run for 4 weeks, and at the end of the 4-week session, you and the instructor will decide whether to continue. Most students stay in the program for several months, some have taken lessons over several years.

Sessions will be taught by Max Cobb, Music Director and professional music instructor. Max teaches guitar, keyboard, and singing lessons to students of all abilities from ages 4-65, at local schools including Music and Arts and The School of Rock.

To qualify for this free program, you should be between 8-18 years old, have the ability to attend online classes, love music, be willing to practice regularly, and meet the financial qualifications listed in the application below.

The best part is that no prior musical experience is required, and The Cobb Foundation Northwest will cover all private instruction class fees as well as instrument rentals. In addition to the application form, all parents/legal guardians must also sign a Liability Waiver enabling you to participate in the program.
